We witnessed the
remarkable Galapagos

A sanctuary of sea life
Arriving in the Galapagos Islands is an extraordinary experience, given their status as a national park with strict regulations for incoming vessels. Our clearing-in procedure involved eight inspectors on board, two divers checking the hull, and a comprehensive list of dos and don’ts to ensure we respect this unique ecosystem.

Exploring San Cristobal Island
We had a fantastic day exploring the vibrant wildlife of San Cristobal Island. The beach was teeming with life, from giant turtles and rainbow-colored fish to red crabs and swimming iguanas. Sea lions were everywhere—truly a magical sight! The anchorage in the bay is equally enchanting, with sea lions frequently joining us on board the Deo Juvante.

Sailing to Santa Cruz Island
We sailed from San Cristobal to Santa Cruz Island, where we’ll immerse ourselves in nature for a week before heading to the Marquesas. A highlight was our visit to the Charles Darwin “Who Was Here” museum, where we were delighted to find a curious sea lion lounging inside the boat, seemingly pondering, “What am I doing wrong?”
The Galapagos is a remarkable place, carefully preserved by dedicated biologists, allowing us to witness its incredible wildlife firsthand.
