A 10-day cruise along the Northeastern Coast of Australia

In the fall of 2022, Deo Juvante cruised the Australian coastline from Mackay to Darwin. In ten days, we explored the Great Barrier Reef and the sandy beaches and cityscapes of Macaky, Cairns and Darwin.

Deo Juvante proved herself crossing the Taman Sea. She runs like a Swiss watch.

Upon collecting Deo Juvante in New Zealand, her maiden voyage took us to Australia. We arrived at Mackay, crossing the Taman Sea in only six days at a 11.5 kn average. From Mackay we left for the Whitsunday Islands in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. We thoroughly enjoyed the sandy beaches and skyblue borders, though we were cautious about leaving the boat as the majestic waters there are filled with sharks and jellyfish.

From there we traveled on to Cairns. This city in Queensland was our most advanced location yet. We enjoyed the cityscape before leaving for our final destination on Australian grounds: Darwin.
